During my last semester of College, I had an independent study course where I was able to pursue a project that would focus on expanding and refining my skillset in game design and development. Over the course of several months, I taught myself the Unity engine and created a basic, yet engaging horror retro-themed game called "Synthetic".

This game is simple, yet a complete stand-alone experience. The goal is to collect various vials scattered throughout a vacant restaurant while avoiding several monsters hiding within the establishment. The visuals of the game are intentionally pixelated to replicate the "retro" aesthetic of an early PC title or something you would play on an Nintendo 64 or Playstation 1.

The monsters have been modeled and textured by me and animations were created for them via Adobe Mixamo. They also use an AI system to wander around the restaurant and then chase the player when they are within their line of sight.
